The Galactic Brain initiative by Aetherflux targets this expanding need by deploying compact satellites capable of executing AI calculations in orbit. Aetherflux aims to put a demonstration satellite into orbit by 2026 that will test their power-beaming capabilities. This mission seeks to validate the efficacy of transferring energy from space to Earth. The company emphasizes that this form of energy transfer is expected to vastly outperform terrestrial solar systems, which are vulnerable to environmental factors like weather and terrain.

“Continuous solar energy combined with innovative thermal management systems overcomes the limitations of Earth-based data centers,” the company states. “We foresee power-beaming offering dramatically improved reliability compared to current ground solar solutions.”

If the Galactic Brain venture achieves its goals, it could represent a groundbreaking advancement in AI infrastructure and space tech. By combining orbital solar power with in-space AI operations, Aetherflux aims to supply scalable energy and compute power while promoting greener energy alternatives.
