Despite sharing a single body, Angel is considered the dominant head, according to East Bay Vivarium employee Angel Hamilton.

East Bay Vivarium experts initially had modest hopes for their longevity, but owner Alex Blanchard explains, "We now anticipate they could live a full lifespan, similar to other king snakes, which ranges from 20 to 30 years."

Existence isn’t without complications for Angel and Zeke. Although they control one body, the two brains frequently disagree on actions.

Since each head processes information independently, they sometimes pull in different directions. "Occasionally you see them struggle, with one leading left and the other wanting to go right," explains Angel Hamilton from East Bay Vivarium.

Despite these occasional conflicts, the two heads manage to cooperate and adapt to their shared life.

The journey of Angel and Zeke is still early. The snake is projected to reach about four feet, typical for its species.
